Anti-India demos rock IHK on Eid-ul-Fitr,Shabir shah vow to continue
struggle

Srinagar, August 31 : Eid-ul-Fitr, today, was marked with
massive anti-India protests and clashes between Indian paramilitary forces and
demonstrators in Srinagar, Sopore and Islamabad areas.High pitched slogans like,
We Want Freedom, and Go India Go reverberated the towns.
Anti-India processions were also held in Baramulla, Kupwara, Handwara, Bandipore,
Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam and other towns and cities. On the other hand, the
largest congregations of Eid prayers were held at Eidgah,TRC ground and Dargah
Hazratbal in Srinagar. Eid prayers were also offered in all major mosques and
Eidgahs in other districts of Kashmir Valley, Jammu and Ladakh regions.The
people on the occasion prayed for the early liberation of Jammu and Kashmir from
Indian bondage.
The authorities had placed senior APHC leader,and DFP chief Shabir Ahmad
Shah under house arrest and huge contingents of police and paramilitary
troopers had cordoned off his residence.The All Parties Hurriyet Conference
castigated Indian authorities for disallowing the Hurriyet leader to offer Eid
prayers. |

Srinagar, August 26 : Senior APHC
leader and DFP chief Shabir Ahmad Shah has placed under house arrest, today.
Shah has been placed under house arrest at his Sant Nagar residence in the
city. A huge contingent of police personnel cordoned off the residences of
the DFP chief and informed him that he cannot move out. Veteran Kashmiri
Hurriyet leader,shabir shah was scheduled to offer congregation prayers at
Dargah Hazratbal in Srinagar on Jumat-ul-Widah, the last Friday of Ramazan. |

Shabir Shah condemns arbitrary detention of youth
|

Srinagar, August 24 : Senior APHC leader and DFP chief Shabir
Ahmad Shah has strongly condemned the arbitrary detention of Kashmiri youth by
Indian police.
Shabbir Shah said that since 2008 Kashmir was witnessing a peaceful uprising but
hundreds of Kashmiri youth were killed and thousands had been put in different
jails.
Shah urged the people to celebrate Eid-ul Fitr with austerity. “Slaves that are
not free economically, socially and politically can’t celebrate Eid like the way
it is celebrated elsewhere. On Eid, the nation whose cultural identity is under
the influence of oppressor should remember the martyrs who have sacrificed their
lives for the Kashmir cause.”
He called upon the people to include all the orphans and needy people in their
Eid celebrations.

Shabir shah urges India to take steps for Kashmir settlement

Srinagar, August 22 : Senior leader of the All Parties
Hurriyet Conference and DFP chief Shabir Ahmad Shah has urged India to read the
writing on wall and work for settlement of the Kashmir dispute with Pakistan and
Kashmiris.
Shabir Ahmed Shah addressing a public gathering at Dogarpora in Pulwama said,
the Kashmir issue is about the political future of millions of Kashmiris, which
could not be compensated by financial packages of widening of roads. “People do
not have any objection against development works but they are against the
presence of Indian troops here and the black laws,” he said.
Meanwhile Shabir Ahmed Shah in a media interview in Srinagar expressed serious
concern over the grave issue. “The persons buried in these graves may also
include those persons, who are missing in Kashmir.
This time around it is authorities’ own commission, which has exposed these mass
graves across the Valley. Now it is high time for the world to take a serious
note of such grave human rights violations,” he added.
Shah appealed to the United Nations and international human rights organizations
to probe the issue of mass graves and bring facts to fore. Shah maintained that
the Kashmiris wanted resolution of the dispute in accordance with their
aspirations. He asked the people to pray for the release of prisoners on Eid. |

Srinagar, August 21 : Senior leader of the All Parties
Hurriyet Conference,and DFP chief Shabir Ahmed Shah, has said that India should
recognise the reality that the Kashmiri people are offering sacrifices for a
supreme cause and they are determined to take their struggle to its logical end.
Shabir Ahmed Shah addressing a public gathering at Dooripora in Islamabad,
today, said that New Delhi would not succeed in suppressing the Kashmiris’ just
struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination. He urged
the government of India to come forward in a serious manner to resolve the
Kashmir dispute through a dialogue process involving Pakistan and the genuine
Kashmiri leadership.
Shah maintained that permanent peace in South Asia was not possible without
settling the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations. He
also appealed the US to lift the restrictions imposed on the movement of the
Executive Director of Kashmiri American Council, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai, so that he
could carry on his efforts for resolution of the lingering dispute. |

Democratic Freedom Party president, Shabir Ahmad Shah, was again placed under
house arrest on Friday.
Shabir Shah was scheduled to address public meeting at Kulgam today. But the
police placed him under house for 30th Friday, thereby preventing him from
proceeding to Kulgam,” jkdfp accusing the government of putting curbs on his
political activities and terming it its ( govt’s) frustration. |

leading protest demonstrations against the human rights violations by Indian
troops in the territory.
Heavy contingents of Indian police personnel have been deployed outside the
residences of the Hurriyet leader and he had been asked not to venture out. |

Srinagar, Aug 17 : All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC)
senior leader, Shabir Ahmad Shah and 25 other Hurriyet activists were
arrested as they tried to stage a peaceful protest rally in Srinagar.
They were demanding release of illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and
activists, end to Indian state terrorism and fake encounters in the territory.
Indian police swung into action and arrested 25 persons, including Shabir Ahmad
Shah, while others were chased away when Shabir Ahmad Shah along with hundreds
of Hurriyet activists gathered near Pratab Park in Srinagar and tried to march
towards Maulana Azad Road. They were carrying placards and photographs of the
detained political prisoners.

Shutdown is an eye-opener to Indian rulers,, shabir shah

Srinagar, August 15 :The senior APHC leader and DFP chief
shabir ahmed shah said that the shutdown should serve as an eye-opener to Indian
rulers who should understand that the Kashmiri people were determined to
continue their liberation struggle, against all odds.
Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over observed the
India’s Independence Day, today, as Black Day to convey the message to the
international community that India had usurped the Kashmiris’ inalienable right
to self-determination.
The day was marked by complete shutdown in occupied Kashmir, call for which had
been given by APHC.
The occupation authorities had put in place stringent restrictions in Srinagar
and other towns to prevent people from holding anti-India demonstrations.
A three-tier security blanket had been thrown around Bakhshi Stadium, the main
venue of the 15th August celebrations. CCTV cameras and sniffer dogs had also
been pressed into service for surveillance purposes. The police had laid
concertina wires and erected barricades on roads running parallel to the Bakhshi
Stadium. The authorities had also jammed the mobile phone services in the
occupied territory causing inconvenience to the people.
The APHC-AJK chapter held a peaceful protest sit-in outside the United Nations
Observers’ Office in Islamabad, today, to mark the Indian Independence Day as
Black Day. |

Shabir Shah denounces murders, custodial killings

Srinagar, August 12 : The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC)
senior leader, Shabir Ahmad Shah has strongly condemned the murders and
custodial killings of Kashmiri youth.
Shah, addressing a public gathering at Krankshivan in Sopore, said that India
could not suppress the ongoing liberation movement through the use of brute
force.
He said that the people of Kashmir had been rendering unprecedented sacrifices
for securing their right to self-determination and the day was not away when
they would get rid of Indian bondage.
Shah urged India to realise the ground reality and come forward for peaceful and
amicable settlement of the Kashmir dispute, which, he said, was imperative for
progress and prosperity of the region besides restoration of normal relations
between Pakistan and India.

raised slogans against Indian and in favour of freedom. |

August 11: The authorities imposed restrictions in Eidgah area of Srinagar and
arrested senior APHC leader Shabir Ahmad Shah kept under house arrest in
Srinagar to thwart the Hurriyet programme on the 3rd martyrdom anniversary of
APHC leader and Peoples League Chairman, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, today.
Shabir Ahmad Shah along with party activist was arrested when he attempted to
lead a procession towards Mazar-e-Shuda Eidgah in Srinagar and was shifted to
Rajbagh Police Station.
On the other hand, Central Reserve Police Force and police personnel were
deployed at Nala Mar Road and Eidgah areas and roads towards the Martyrs
Graveyard were sealed. Meanwhile, complete shutdown was observed in Pampore.

Shabir Ahmed Shah arrested in Pattan

Srinagar, August 09 : Indian police arrested senior leader of
the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) and the President of Jammu and
Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah in Pattan, today.
Shabir Shah along with his associates was on his way to Sopore to express
solidarity with the family of a youth, Nazim Rashid, who was recently killed in
custody by Indian police. After arrest, he was detained in Mirghund police
station.
The DFP strongly condemned the illegal detention of Shabir Shah and described it
as frustration of the occupation authorities. |

Shabir Shah urged to observe Indian I5th August as Black Day

Srinagar, August 07 : Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet
Conference, Shabir Ahmed Shah has urged the people to observe 15th August,
India’s Independence Day, as a black day.
Shah, who is under house arrest for the past several day, in Srinagar said that
in 1947 nearly 650 princely states in the subcontinent were given a chance to
decide their future resulting in the formation of two independent countries
Pakistan and India.
The senior APHC leader said that India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir
against the will of Kashmiri people and later the first Indian Prime Minister,
Jawaharlal Nehru and other leaders promised to give the Kashmiris an opportunity
to decide their fate by themselves. He said that the people of Kashmir had been
reminding New Delhi to fulfill these commitments but instead of paying heed to
them it had killed laces of Kashmiris, subjected thousands to disappearance and
put hundreds behind the bars. He said that forcing the people of the occupied
territory to observe Indian Independence Day was tantamount to rubbing salt on
their wounds.
Shah said that the Kashmiris had been continuing their struggle to get rid of
illegal occupation of India for the past six decades. He said that Kashmir was
an internationally recognized disputed territory, which had caused wars between
Pakistan and India. He maintained that the Kashmiri people would continue their
struggle till the Kashmir dispute was resolved in accordance with their
aspirations. |

Srinagar, August 05 : Forceful anti-India demonstrations rocked
Srinagar, Islamabad, Pulwama, Tray, Baramulla, Sopore, Bandipore and other
cities and towns, today.
Call for the protests was given by veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali
Gilani, against gross human rights violations by Indian troops. Clashes were
witnessed between the demonstrators and Indian police at various places. The
police resorted to heavy baton charge and excessive teargas shelling to break up
the demonstrations.
The occupation authorities placed the APHC leader and dfp chief Shabbir Ahmed
Shah, under house arrest to prevent him from leading the demonstrations. He was
not even allowed to offer Juma prayer.JKDFP strongly denounced the use of force
by Indian police on the peaceful protesters.
The APHC in a meeting in Srinagar took strong exception to the house arrest of
Hurriyet leader Shabbir Ahmed Shah,
.On the other hand, Indian troops during a siege and search operation martyred a
youth at Nagnigard Kashwan in Kishtwar. Dead body of another youth was recovered
from the debris of two residential houses destroyed by the heavy firing and
mortar by the troops. Hundreds of people participated in the funeral prayers of
the martyred youth.

in Srinagar.The DFP strongly denounced the continued house arrest of the party

residences of Mr. shah and he has been asked not to venture out.
The Indian troops, in their fresh acts of state terrorism, martyred two more
innocent Kashmiri youth in Kishtwar and Pulwama districts.
During siege and search operations the personnel of 11-Rashtriya Rifles, CRPF
and Special Operations Group (SOG) killed Habib Gujjar at Nagnigard Ashcan in
Kishtwar district. Earlier, in the operation one Rica Ahmed Kholi was also
killed in the same area.
In another operation dead body of one Shakoor Ahmad Teli was recovered from the
debris of two residential houses destroyed by the heavy firing and mortar
shelling of 55 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group at Kari Mohalla in
Puchul area of Pulwama.
Hundreds of people took to the streets and demanding body of the martyred youth.
However, as paramilitary forces refused to hand over the body to them, the
people chanting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans clashed with police, the
eyewitness said.
The policemen fired bullets and teargas shells to disperse the angry protesters
causing injuries to several of them. Some of the victims reportedly received
bullet injuries. The seriously injured were shifted to Srinagar for further
treatment.
The angry mob torched a police vehicle and allegedly thrashed Deputy
Superintendent of Police and SHO Kakapora. |

Srinagar, August 03 : The authorities continued to place
the aphc leader and DFP chief Shabir Ahmed Shah, under house arrest. Kashmiris
observed shutdown against the custodial killing of a Sopore youth.
Contingents of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers and police personnel
were deployed around the residences of Hurriyet leader Mr.. shah to keep a close
watch on his activities, a police officer said.
Meanwhile, Srinagar and other cities and towns observed a complete shutdown
while the roads wore a deserted look. Schools, shops, business establishments,
private offices and banks remained closed in the Valley due to the strike, a
police official said. |

Shabir Shah pays tributes to Sheikh Aziz
|

Srinagar, August 02 : Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet
Conference, Shabir Ahmad Shah has paid rich tributes to the martyred APHC
leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, who was martyred by Indian troops during an
anti-India rally in 2008.
Shabir Ahmad Shah, while talking to delegations at his residence where he is
under house arrest, said that the real tributes to Sheikh Abdul Aziz and other
Kashmiri martyrs was to take their mission to its logical end.
He said that the people of Kashmir would continue their struggle till the
resolution of lingering dispute in accordance with their aspirations. “The use
of brute force cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ resolve to get freedom from Indian
oppression,” he maintained.

Shutdown in Sopore, Baramulla against custodial killing ,shabir Shah
continuously under house arrest for 13 days.

Srinagar, August 01: complete shutdown was observed in Sopore
and Baramulla towns, today, against the custodial killing of a youth in
Sopore.Shops, business establishments and educational institutions remained
closed in these towns while traffic was off the road. Hundreds of paramilitary
troopers and police personnel were deployed in Sopore to prevent people from
holding demonstrations against the incident.
The occupation authorities continued to place Shabir Ahmed Shah under house
arrest to prevent them from going to Sopore to express solidarity with the
family of the martyred youth.
The DFP chief shabir shah in Srinagar taking strong exception to the custodial
killing in Sopore described it as the worst form of Indian state terrorism. shah
called for a complete shutdown in the occupied territory on Wednesday to protest
against the gruesome act.
Hurriyet leader Shabir Ahmed Shah, also denounced the killing.. dfp delegation
also visited Sopore and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, the JKDFP today, revealed that Indian troops, in their continued acts
of state terrorism, martyred 24 innocent Kashmiris including 2 children during
the last month of July. Of those martyred, 2 were killed in custody. These
killings rendered 1 woman widowed and 3 children orphaned. 10 women were
molested by the troops during the month. |
